Fees and safety

Cost: a 1% service fee, plus the network and liquidity costs of the route chosen by Chainflip. The amount you see before sending already has all of it deducted — there is nothing to add afterwards.

Safety: every swap carries a price floor 3% under the quote and a refund address, so no swap can execute at an arbitrary price. We never ask for your recovery phrase or private keys, and we never hold your coins. Always copy addresses from your own wallet, never from a transaction history: scammers send dust from lookalike addresses hoping you will copy theirs.

Questions

Is there a hidden spread?

No hidden markup on top of the quote: the amount shown is what the route delivers after the 1% fee and network costs.

What is address poisoning?

A scam where someone sends you a tiny amount from an address that looks like yours or a contact's, so it appears in your history. If you later copy that address, your funds go to the scammer. Always copy addresses from the wallet or contact itself.

Do I need an account?

No. You give the address where you want to receive and a refund address on the chain you send from. No email, no password, no sign-up.

What does it cost?

A 1% service fee plus the network and liquidity costs of the route. All of it is already deducted in the amount shown before you send anything.

What if the price moves while my deposit confirms?

Every swap carries a price floor set 3% under the quote. If the market moves past it before your deposit is processed, the swap does not execute and your coins are returned to your refund address.

Who holds my coins during the swap?

Nobody at Dexnay. You send to a one-off Chainflip deposit address; the Chainflip network swaps and delivers to your address. We never have the keys to your funds.
